Daily Routine
The facility is open from 7:00am - 6:00pm, Monday - Friday. The official start of the school day is 8:30am, so we'd like all the children to be in attendance by then.
Below is detailed an average school day, however; slight changes will occur during various times of year.
8:45am - Group line time. Click for photo. Roll is taken, weather charted, and the calendar tracked. The pledge to the flag is recited and a flag song is sung. Subject matter from the cosmic curriculum is covered, new activities are demonstrated and important announcements are made. It is a key part of the school day.
9:15am - The children are dismissed for the morning work time. During this time the teachers will work with the children individually, or in small groups. Work may be mandated for some children whilst others may be selecting 'free choice' activities. The kitchen will be set up with water pouring and art activities. During this morning work time the children will get morning snack.
10:45am - Group line time for singing, and responsibilities. Each child in the school has a classroom responsibilty to do, i.e. sweeping, dusting, straightening a shelf, wiping tables etc.. These responsibilities are rotated each month.
11:00am - Morning recess.
11:40am - Group line time, for singing, creative movement, storytelling, or similar, whilst the children are tapped to go hang up coats, wash hands and get lunch boxes.
12:15pm - Lunch time.
1:00pm - Group line time. this 20-30 mins, line time varies greatly, - we do word building, alphabet bingo games, acting, storytelling, circle games etc..
1:30pm - Younger children are dismissed for nap time, and the kindergarten work time begins.

2:00pm - Any of the children still awake in the nap room get up for a second work time. This is called the 2:00 work time.

2:45pm - Nappers are woken up.
3:00pm - Group line time for afternoon snack and story time.
3:15pm - Afternoon recess. The length of this recess varies greatly, depending mostly on the weather. It may be as short as 30 minutes, or as long as 2 hours!
4:15pm - Group line time for singing, stories etc.. whilst they hang up coats and wash their hands. Afterwards, they are then dismissed to choose free activities. At this time of day the 'after school closet' is opened, and the children may play board games, build with legos, play with the train set, do colorings, playdoh, or similar, until they are picked up by their parents.
6:00pm - Facility is closed.
